IRAN

you get used to people asking you "how can you visit a country like iran, are you crazy?" but this time even close friends and family members asked me to better stay at home because iran was in a big uproar after the allegedly faked presidential election. masses of people marching the streets and as might be expected forces of the government trying to brake those people down. people got hurt, punished, sent to jail and unfortunately a lot of people got killed to. at first i was concerned too, but as i had some plans to do i decided not to cancel that trip, which was the absolutely right decision. it was a nice trip through the country and i managed to gather a lot of material. this is only a small collection and most of these shots were made on the bazar of tabriz where i spent a lot of hours with my cousin arash. to be honest with you i did not really have a straight concept or a basic idea that i followed, i just jumped in and tried to freeze the moments that came to my eye. the bazar was really a great experience because of the people working there. easy people marked by life, working their butts off but in a way you do not get to see that much over here. not complaining about stuff, they make the best out of what they have and still manage to see things from a positive point of view. just take a look at the faces and you are going to see what i mean.
